Members of the London Military Museums Network discuss the impact of the First World War on London through the stories of soldiers and civilians.

The London Military Museums Network is a group which meets to share advice and guidance. Its members include the Jewish Museum London, Royal Hospital Chelsea, the Household Cavalry Museum, the Fusilier Museum London and the First Aid Nursing Yeomanry Archive.

Together, they have developed a touring exhibition which aims to examine the immediate impact of the First World War on London’s communities. It will be available to view in the National Army Museum’s Atrium.

In this talk, the partner museums will each present their contribution to the exhibition by revealing the stories of individual soldiers and civilians, as well as their shared history.

The group will also run a panel discussion to explore in more detail the impact of the First World War on London, with an opportunity for audience members to ask questions.
