I've been going to Bar Remo on and off for years having originally stumbled across it by chance and have never had a bad experience there. The food of course is wonderful, the staff warm and very friendly and the atmosphere is always lively. My most recent visit on Saturday lunchtime (5th October) was no exception and it's actually cheaper than going to one of the soul-less chain Italian restaurants that are all over London. Just go and find out for yourself......

Fabulous traditional warm Italian welcome always made this place a delightful place to meet and eat back in the mid 80's when I worked nearby.Returning with my grown up kids last year was overwhelmed to find Bar Remo just the same..delicious food, friendly homely feel..and am coming back again later today!! Try this place..just mins from Oxford Circus..a great place to meet for lunch..:)

If you're looking for something a bit low key but delicious this is your place. Although I have to say the highlight is the lovely Italian staff which are always very attentive, make you feel very welcome and are willing to offer you their advice. Great place.

I have had take away lunch at this restaurant 5 times, so far.. Pizza is really under cooked, the ceaser Salad has been drowned in dressing, The beef pasta came with a minimal amount of beef and a massive bowl of pasta, the steak chibatta has been Cold and very very tough, and the Tuna melt was also cold and not very tastefull.
Maybe its just the takeaway part but I will not be taking a 6th chance on this restaurant.

I'm sorry to hear you have had bad experiencs at my restaurant in the 5 times you have been. We always respond to critism and want our customers to be happy with the quality of our food and service. The food is always made fresh on the premises and made to order so im confused as to why your food was cold,i guess you had to walk to your workplace as you purchased a takeaway.

We fell on this place whilst out shopping on Regent st,looked pretty normal,a bit tired looking almost but WOW were we in for a nice suprise! Great place serving authentic Italian food(so much nicer than the factory made rubbish thats so often the case in other Italian restaurants these days),really nice staff who helped us choose what to have from the extensive menu,made in house by the Italian chef. i chose the ravioli which was absolutely delicious-everyone has to try this at least once,shame i can't get the food posted to me,though i would be as fat as a pig if they did lol! next time we go to London this will be our first port of call!
