Catch is an independent bar and venue in the heart of Shoreditch, spread over two floors. The downstairs bar is always free to get into, and offers a wide range of spirits, wines and draughts. Most nights they’ll be Dj’s play- ing late into the night. Upstairs is our gig / club venue some nights there’s a door charge, some nights there isn’t, best to check our listings for up to date information.
Death By Burrito, an exciting contemporary Mexican grill and cocktail bar concept located at Catch bar, is now open daily between 5pm and 10pm.

once you’re in, there’s a whole lot to like
You can see from the outside what it might feel like to be on the inside with its grimy windows and ripped posters tatting it up, but once night falls the filth turns chic for anyone venturing up the stairs to the bar and once you’re in, there’s a whole lot to like. Catch has been popular for years with new generations of hipster taking over the mantle and keeping the place alive. Consistently full of the young and hot listening to things as diverse as the Pixies and Slayer, it also lets in a Hip-Hop night once a month that’s surprisingly good, as it relies almost solely on the Golden Age of the nineties. There are also various live nights from lo-fi labels and new bands, which are generally worth a look. The drinks are basic- spirits and standard lagers (on draught) but most people will be looking for the cheapest option they can find. Catch is basically Courtney Love, slightly messy and always with the potential for something outrageous to occur and what’s more you’re likely to hear Hole too.

The indie venue’s indie venue, Catch is as divey as they come but that doesn’t hinder the quality of bands they put on. If it’s not live then you’re likely to find DJs spinning the likes of The Pixies, Violent Femmes and anything else jingly and jangly.

Easily Shoreditch's best dive bar - in a good way. Whenever I'm stuck for somewhere to head to at 11pm when I'm in the area then Catch is the answer. Good music, dancing and less 'lads' than some of the other late night bars nearby.
