II use this Garage everyday.
Most days it is a quick stop for my daughter to buy a drink for school, however I have encountered a few issues over the last few months.
I have purchased hot food on a couple of occasions, which I will not be doing again. The sausage muffins are dry & tasteless. I bought it as part of a promotion -- Coffee & muffin for £2.50 (coffee alone is £1.99). Sadly it did NOT enhance the experience, in fact I was disappointed. I have also purchased their "Panini’s" recently, which again, seem to be devoid of filling. A mozzarella & tomato has NO tomato, only a "relish" & the mozzarella was so thin, when I opened it, it was barely visible on the bread.
I would also state that my most embarrassing moment came when a member of staff shouted across the tills (in front of customers) to the server I was standing with... "She has put petrol in too" ... As If I was about to not pay! I was waiting for a Panini to be cooked & hadn’t even started the payment process. They always ask if you had had petrol anyway... What was that about?
I should also say, that the staff seem to chatter away in a foreign language quite regularly, which I actually find offensive (so did the gentleman standing behind me today).
So if you are after petrol & nothing else, this station is perfect, however if you are after good food & decent customer service, I would say drive up to the new B&Q on the roundabout near the A3, just across the road you will find "ON THE RUN".. much much better!
BP Connect offers a mini-market, selling a limited selection of everyday products, from milk to bread, as well as petrol and diesel.
