In the heart of Covent Garden, opposite the infamous Royal Opera House, a brilliant transformation has taken place; The Globe. Restaurant entrepreneur, wine connoisseur and proud new owner of The Globe, Olivier Trotel has dedicated his attentions to this latest renovation project. Kick starting his career at London’s finest, Le Gavroche, Olivier then moved on to Jamie Oliver at 15, Scotts and Marcus Wareing, before managing the restaurant at Groucho and most recently, Home House. Olivier has more than earned his 25 year reputation as a veteran in the restaurant business. The latest buzz surrounding the re-opening of The Globe fits in perfectly with the tempo of its surroundings.
An amalgamation of Olivier's experience, vision and foresight of The Globe spans over three floors. The restaurant is a contemporary English bistro, separated from the pub by a decadent and beautiful exterior floral display. A moments walk away from the Covent Garden Piazza, The Globe is the ideal location for a bite to eat in between some retail therapy. The restaurant also makes for the perfect haunt for a sensational Sunday lunch roast for the entire family. The child friendly atmosphere offers a kids menu, high chairs and colouring kits so your rug-rats will feel right at home too.
The succulent roast lamb is complimented by a comprehensive wine list, chosen by Olivier himself, includes wines from the regions of Bordeaux, Burgundy and Alsace. An expert in wine, Olivier is able to interpret appearance taste and smell in the glass and uphold a high standard of wine appreciation.
The Globe boasts both the highest quality of service and fresh food hand selected from the market. Before sunrise each morning you can find Olivier himself out looking for only the very best meats and groceries that the markets have to offer. The food at The Globe is complimented by Tyrell organic crisps made from potatoes grown in the unspoilt Hertfordshire countryside.
It is a combination of Olivier's attention to detail, fine personal taste and je ne sais quoi that have helped to transform The Globe into a refined and eloquent eatery.

I've never been treated as bad as in this pub. A pub owner shouting at you for moving two tables in an otherwise completely empty room together is not acceptable. He should learn to deal with customers and his aggression. Actually scary!

Love The Globe! Been coming here for a few months as it's in such a good central spot and caters for all needs. After work bevvies, yummy dinner, Sunday drinks. It's helpful, friendly staff really care about your time with them, it's a lovely traditional pub with a truly relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. Defo big thumbs up!

The pub seems quite nicehowever, upon entering and meeting the manager everything changes. He should try to be polite instead of being rude and aggressive.
