Ozu recalls the stylish era of the 1940s and 1950s with its period Tokyo decor. The cuisine is French-Japanese, whilst the service is classic Japanese attentiveness and efficiency.

I had Cousins Visiting London from America and we had a day out in Waterloo. After enjoying the London Eye and Sea Life Aquarium we decided when eating we would stay local and dined at Ozu Japanese Restaurant. I was not a big Japanese food lover so I was very hesitant to go in and eat. The menu was very difficult to understand which added to my hesitation but once the waitress explained in detail I was happier to go ahead and try it out. The food came and confirmed I had made the right decision to stay, as it was LOVELY! My Cousins and myself all had different meals and sampled each other’s and every meal was as delicious as the next. When I now talk to my Cousins we always make reference to that wonderful meal.

I stumbled across this discreet venue accidentally when I was taking visitors to see the London Eye and what a treat it turned out to be. The large dining room was fantastic and although I found the wood panelling a bit overbearing a first once we settled in it was quite delightful. The meals certainly weren’t cheap but were worth paying a little extra for. Both my guests, and myself thoroughly enjoyed the lavish lunch and it is definitely the perfect venue to impress.
