Extremely rude staff at Finchley Road ....
assistant keep bring uniform for wrong school. manager very rude. when we reach till, everything have to be changes. bad experence @temple branch
I have been shopping at uniform 4 kids for 10 years now. Service was always swift, orders were made and received reliably and staff has always been friendly, even during busier periods.
I know the clothes are not cheap, but it is down to the schools who dictate what parents have to buy.
If it was down to me, PE kits should be just black leggings or shorts and white cotton shirts. My children don't actually feel comfortable in skin tight Lycra shirts and leggings with fancy logos, costing us parents silly money.
i wouldn't recommend this shop but unfortunately the school my son and daughter go to require us to buy from U4K. its always a nightmare to visit this shop the staff are overworked and the owners are rude and just don't care. They have a monopoly wit supplying uniforms for most north london private schools. Reminds me of the black cab drivers who once held a monopoly. The owners should be cautious as things can change, and if you give such lousy customer service, there will be no customer loyalty once there are alternatives. We are in talks with our schools and parents of other schools to provide better alternatives to U4K. So be warned.
Bizarre attitude from management. I asked to buy a plain unbranded white polo shirt, which he had in stock. I was about to pay when I mentioned the name of my daughter's school, and that she couldn't wear the logo version because the embroidered logo was itchy from inside. At that point he flat out refused to sell the item to me! I said, don't worry it's fine, she will just use it for outside of school then, and his response was, well we know that isn't true so I can't sell you the plain shirt as I have a contract with your school. His loss, I bought the plain shirt in John Lewis instead with no arguments and no fuss. It was cheaper and better quality there too...

Awful. Hopeless staff ordered about by an appallingly rude and socially inept manager. I attempted to ask a question about a product only to be met with shrieks of abuse. They were just as unpleasant to my 13 year old daughter who wanted to inquire about her uniform. No stars.
They can improve by make there clothes cheaper, my son goes to a "free" school but because the uniform is so expensive it's almost a private school.
Unfriendly shop!! Rude Manager and business owner. They don't care about their customers services. They care only for your credit card!!!
Almost all of the patients have the same view for the rude owner.
I visited this shop this week after a year only to be reminded how unfriendly and rude they are. I have been there about 4 times in total. If it was just the once I would put it down to chance, but each time the assistants have been brusque and abrasive and behind the till, cold and abrupt. No smiles no cheeriness. Why do I feel I am not welcome in there when I have come to give them my business and part with my money. Why do I feel that my presence is barely tolerated and that I am an inconvenience? I always leave feeling slightly angry and amazed at their poor treatment of customers.
Sadly they have a monopoly on school uniforms otherwise I would go elsewhere.
Isn't it time they read the poor reviews and did something about their customer service?
Luckily my son is in his last year and I hope never to have to visit their store again. Thank goodness for that.
To provide a balanced review I must add that their products are fine. No complaints about quality although quit

Uniform 4 kids has had a reputation since I have been shopping at the Temple fortune shop over 10years that the managing staff are always very rude. It seems to be a family run business. They have no customer service. Great shame as most of there customers feel the same as I do.
Over priced and poor quality. I buy the essentials and get the rest from John Lewis , Next etc
I agree with other reviews regarding managers attitude towards customers. I had an emambarassingly rude experience with the manager and when I commented he had the odecity to say to me if I don't look at him he won't let me buy the uniform. I was humilated infront of my children just because he knew I had no choice but to buy the uniforn from him. To add insult to injury he said he was the business owner. I want to know how much of the business he owns. My daughter is just starting yr 7 and I certainly never want to see this man's face again. I won't be buying any more uniforms from Finchley.
I've been shopping in Uniform4kids for the past 2 1/2 years for 2 children. I agree with other comment that most of the junior staff are helpful. However, I've been served by a female who I think is a senior staff member (possibly manager) and she is abrupt and can be almost aggressive in her attitude. When wanting to discuss the same issue I had with both my son's sweaters, her attitude was "nothing to do with us...must be something he's doing". Her customer care skills are zero and I've been tempted to ring and speak to the manager after visiting the shop. When I visit shop, I avo
The extremely rude manager really lets the shop down. I was mis-sold the wrong size trainer for my 4 year old and they shop tefused to exchange them because she wore them for an hour. I was told 'your daughter should have told you they were too small'. Unbelievable. That is money they would rather keep than think of their customers.
Like a previous reviewer I have to shop at Uniform4Kids as it is the only place that sells my child's uniform. The prices are ridiculously high - particularly for poorly stitched summer dresses. The senior staff members can be unhelpful, unfriendly and in my experience unhelpful (both in the shop and when sell at the school). However the junior staff are very helpful & friendly. The business would really benefit if management had customer relations training. It's important that they are kind, helpful and friendly to all customers even though many of us have no choice but to shop there.

I have been shopping at Uniform 4 Kids for many years. I was prompted to post a review as I feel the service and customer care by senior members of staff has declined over the years. This is due to the fact they hold the rights in selling my children's school uniform; they are not competitively priced and have an attitude of ' take it or leave it'. As it's the only shop that sells the uniform we have to buy it whatever the cost.
Speaking with many parents, they agree.
If they could consider these issues it would be a most welcome improvement.
