The Exchange Centre

The Exchange is Ilford’s indoor shopping centre, which boasts almost 100 shops under a curved glass roof that allows the sunlight in. Its appearance is equally distinctive from the outside, with two green domes topped with flags hovering over the Ilford skyline. The mall is centrally located, just a few minutes walk away from Ilford station and has the convenience of a large car park with 1,200 spaces (it’s £1 for two hours). In terms of shopping you’ll mostly find high street stores here, as well as larger outlets such as TK Maxx and Debenhams. Ladies fashion, stationery, electrical goods and health stores are all located on the premises as well as a post office and several opticians. For those wanting a bite to eat there is Subway, Burger King, Fat Jackets and BB’s Coffee and Muffins. Shops generally open between 9.30 am and 6 pm with late night shopping on Wednesdays.
