I was so shocked to find on my "Wild wood pigeon" starter the foot of the bird on my plate that I almost got sick on my seat !
As a main I ordered a poached Sea bream and missed that the dish was including an oxtail !!!!!
No need to say this has disgusted me even more.
My friends had Pot roasted chicken and the Balsamic glazed pork belly and they were extremely plain in flavour.
I missed the Amaretto in the vanilla Bavarois poached pear, honeycomb and Amaretto syrup and the selection cheese was very average.
Fortunately we had a lot of good wine and the service was very good even if you could tell the staff was stressed as they were not enough of them.
We end up to pay £250 for 5 and I was ashamed to have dragged my French friends in a restaurant where they think modern cuisine is to mix oxtail and poached white fish !!!!!

I took a couple of clients out for dinner and the atmosphere was like a student campus diner. The noise ad ranter from other diners was to dominant and the waiters were too fast and eager to clearbring our food on the table and faster to take them off. The sured salmon was fantastic and though bu my main sea trout was presented on two slices of grilled potatoes with Heinz beans and Hellmanns Mayonnaise?!? it was cold too. I find it hard to believe that Diana used to come here, even before 1982. Not impressed, Im sorry to say...

Still fantastic, in spite of former Chef Rowley Leigh's departure last year. I would strongly recommend their set lunch which at approx £17 for two courses with a glass of wine is amazing value.

My husband and I enjoyed their roast pork belly so much that we're going back for lunch today!

Seriously, check it out, you will not be disappointed.

This used to be one of my favorite restaurants but it has really slipped over the years. Good for celebrity spotting and a good wine list, the food IS very good, but not as good as you would expect for the prices they charge and some items really aren't great. When I had a very overpriced OK meal, I was given a free cup of coffee for complaining - great, money off would have been more appreciated or just not paying for the course which I barely ate any of.

The decor and atmosphere are great and I probably WILL go there again, but wouldn't really recommend it.
