I went to Timsons in the King's Road today to have a battery replaced in my watch, and was rather grumpily quoted £21.75 for what was essentially a three minute job.Not being in the mood to be royally ripped off, I went to Courlander Jewellers in Richmond and had a perfect, courteous, reception and my watch battery replaced for £10.00.

We ordered special key cutting services with 14 days of production time and paid £96. I visited the store to collect the key later than 14 days, and on the day, I was informed that the key was not ready, asking me to go and photo my old key for them.
Given all our details, with contact numbers, no one even contacted us, asking for information in advance or calling us to inform us of delays.
At the end of the discussion", i have been told to shut up," turning up a situation that was my failure. After " Shut up words", no one even stepped to my side. I was told and showed it from the side that it wasn't a failure of the company and management. But saying it's me who's a mistake it is.
After saying that i could send images of the key to the mobile number, the manager told me to write the number to my phone. I refused it as it was not my mistake from the beginning, but their service and communication, the number were written on a piece of paper. Yesterday at 12:37, I texted images and asked when I could collect the keys. No answer! Having my number, they could at least apologise for saying "shut up," I understand that it's their delay and their unprofessionalism; I didn't let myself say even a single rude word to them. The brunch let us very, very down because we were supposed to travel the next day and needed the key. We bought tickets; we spent thousands of pounds. And we already paid for a key cutting £96.
They could at least call me, send a text message or email to find out more about the required key and finish their job.
It seems like I have to chase to get a job to be done.
I would love to see their cameras for a follow-up investigation.

I had a battery changed in my Polar watch changed at the Timpkins, Sloan Square store on Kings Rd. Prior to taking the watch to Timpkins it was waterproof, they installed the wrong battery and it was no longer water proof (not even to wash your hands).

I subsequently returned the watch to the manufacturer (who told me that it had the wrong battery in it), Timpkins responded that they weren't prepared to do anything about it (even though i had a 1 year guarantee receipt from them).

I have never experienced such bad customer service. And would strongly recommend people not to use Timpkins.
