Average customer service at Funky Brownz (FBz). Customers are not treated equally, some paying more than others. Some being allowed to drink and some not. Ridiculously drunk in power. I do not recommend. This isn't a great spot, purely based on the staff and security there. For me personally I like to be around good energy. I would honestly rate FBz 5/10. Do research on better shisha lounges to go to before coming to this one (especially in the evening btw, during the day it's not too bad). Hope this helps :)

Very unimpressed. The staff were rude and had to be told multiple times to get drinks/fix sheesha flavours. We were moved from where we wanted to sit to a place which was very uncomfortable. The food was okay but I wasn't blown away. Mocktails tasted like something out of a carton. Safe to say we won't be going back!

I am writing this review as I sit in Funky Brownz.

Terrible place. Music is too loud, staff have an attitude problem and lack common sense.

In the shisha section, our group of 8 were moved to two small tables and chairs. I'm sure they picked out the filthiest section to move us to. The tables had food all over them, even on the sides so that your clothes can get a taste. There was cutlery on the floor where we was sitting with stale food on it. The staff just stepped all over it when we moved it, and only picked it up when an issue was made of it. The shisha is no good!

Avoid! Avoid

My first time at Funky Brownz sheesha lounge and it was a very unpleasant night. I has great company my husband and my friend but the service was terrible. The music was too loud we were ignored by staff, our less than half decent food came half an hour late my chips were over cooked and hard, we were waiting for new coal for a good 45 mins, a button was given to get service god only knows if that worked no one came. My husband who was sitting next to me was told by one of the staff to get up to make way for another couple absolutely RUDE! The place was a waste our money and time NEVER AGAIN!!

When i went there for the first time in a group. They did not bother giving a professional service and would rather look after another group instead of ours. The prices are way too high for what service we recieved.

Teach all staff to be more courteous to their customers
Serve dishes on time
Act more like any other restaurant and allow the bill to be split amongst the group
Allow patrons to stand in the area close to their reserved area
Not charge entry for the 'club' after having spent over £300 on food.

The bouncers are a VERY rude to their customers
The manager was no use whatsoever at resolving our queries.
Standing is against the rules!?
Entrance to the 'club' was chargeable after we had spent over £300 on food.
Food is BELOW average
The manager, staff and food should all be improved.

My friends & i booked the VIP lounge in tottenham lane for our 30th birthday on 22nd Oct 2010. In the beginning when we had to liase with the club, the communication wasn't that great but eventually as time grew closer to the event, the communication started to improve.

I have say, that the manager Ash bent over backwards to make sure that i birthday went smoothly, and he was always around on the night whenever we needed anything done. So I would just like to say a massive thank you to Ash and Spike from behalf of my friends and myself for putting up with our demands...lol, and by Ash sticking to his words that we would have a fantastic night in which we did. We enjoyed it, our guests can't stop talking about it and the bouncers and the rest of the staff were brilliant and i can't forget to thank the dj's (Redz-Smooth connections, Mr J-Fab Vibez and dagz & longers-G.Ents)

Thank You once again & keep up the good work

Went to Funky Brownz last Friday music was ok, staff were lazy and told some staff could not make my cocktail. Venue was ok but service and prices for drinks were a joke.

The first time I went to Funky Brownz was on a friday, I was really impressed with the layout and decor inside. The drinks menu was really good too with lots to choose from. Then I went to a party there on a saturday in the VIP section and was extremely shocked at the whole experience. It was like I was at a totally different place, the staff were a shambles, starting with even getting into the place, the promoter who had the guest list for the event i was attending didn't really know what he was doing. Once we managed to get past that the VIP section bar was not even manned when we arrived and then we got told that we could not order cocktails from there or pay by card and they were only serving doubles. There were not many people in the club that night and the problems just kept coming and coming. It is a shame though because the venue itself is great, beautifully decorated, great bar and food menu just awful management and organisation. We really need a place like this locally but I'm afraid with the way it handles it's customers it wont last long.

With regards to the previous post, once again apologies that you feel upset by your experiance, however in the clubs defense your were given alot of good will leading up to the event, with regards to the number of people in the venue any viewers are more that welcome to visit the bar and will find it is one of the most happening night's in north london, unfortunatley for you did hire the V.I.P but you obviously diddnt have enough guest for the vip area to meet the minimum spend.

Your guest list was of a high volume with very few turn ups.

Agreed the card machine was not working but that is not the vunue's fault it can happen anywhere, card merchants are very unreliable.

You will find i had come to your area many times through out the night but no complaint had been brought to my attension.

After all the abouve i will yat again apologise purely due to the fact that you feel your night was made uncomfortable, however Funky Brownz would be morte that happy to accomadate you again and give you a complimentry table with some drinks.

regards,

Plan a party booked the large VIP section, bouncer & promoter very rude,we had a arranged guestlist but promoters were still requesting people pay to get in to the private party!

Hired out the whole VIP section when ordering cocktails we were told we had to order from the main bar as the VIP bar dont have the alcohol(even tho this was a planned party which was booked two months ago)

On the night of the events we were told drinks were now double the price even to they hand you there drink menu with prices plus card machine not working.

Manager Ash was so unhelpful no responding to emails or phone calls & for the amount they charge in VIP section Ash did not make any appearance to check if everything is ok.

I would advise againts the VIP section as this club does not pull enough clients for you to hire a VIP.

I would have rathered gone westend with my money as you pay for what you recieve this clubs charge horrendous prices & you dont even get the service or the staff.

Music is rubbish & on a Saturday i would say you'll find about 20 people in the whole club

Nice place once you are inside, really can't complain, but i've been to many nightclubs across the world and not had to deal with such idiotic bouncers in a long time!....I watched hoards of people decide not to go in because the bouncers were just rude.

The place is decent, and i recommend it.....but will lose alot of business if the door staff continue to believe they are gods!
