Congratulations. You have now discovered one of London's best kept secrets, G&L Motors in Colindale. I first became a customer over 25 years ago, when I lived nearby, and it was one of the best things I ever did. I still continued to use the services of Darren and his brothers even once I had moved out to deepest, darkest Berkshire! Which should tell you something. The service that they provide IS second to NONE. Not only do they provide a first class quality service at a very reasonable price, they are totally honest, trustworthy and very likable people to do business with. One of the (many) great things going for them is that they are a 'family business' where nothing is too much trouble for them. Though if you can, it would be advisable to call ahead of paying a visit, should you need something doing urgently. As they are normally booked up (unsurprisingly) but will do their best to fit you in. You will NEVER get ripped off by them. They are a breath of fresh air, as if they come across a problem, they will call you and ASK what YOU would like them to do, rather than just do what is necessary and charge you more than you were expecting to pay. Don't just take my word for it, go and pay them a visit and tell them that VINCE recommended you to go to them ............ and watch them smile!! And one last thing ..........NO, they didn't pay me to write this review, it is a all a totally accurate and honest appraisal of their work. Thanks for taking the time to read this. What a wonderful helpful caring group of mechanics.
Last night driving back from work , my 2008 Ford Gaia suddenly started to shudder and make terrible whooshing noises. After stopping and resting the car, I eventually managed to drive home.
My green flag relay was not easy to contact for assistance.
This early morning I rang this garage and was immediately put at ease. He talked me through my car ordeal and asked me several question. Thus enabling me to drive to the garage without fear of stalling or breaking down on route.
They immediately set to work.
They informed me within 1 hour what they had found and asked how I would like to proceed. At all times, they kept me informed on procedure and price.
I have used this garage in the past for yearly services MOT repairs Advice and help.

It is a family run garage and the ethos of Honesty , Value for money, good service in a good time frame is still there.

Fantastic garage, they quickly got to the bottom of my clutch problem, and fixed it very quickly and at short notice. I came to them after my car broke down up the road in edgware. The garage the RAC took me to tried to rip me off, and so I got the car into second gear and came to g&l. Their quote was half that of the rip-off garage, and they didn't try to talk me into any unnecessary work! They were also super friendly and helpful as other reviewers have noted. Highly recommended.

just have problem with my mondeo 2.0tdi. 2006.
fail MOT.Front bulb not working.
They change the bulb (G&L) and don't want money because
I use them few times previously.

Been using this garage for about 6 years and couldn't recommend them enough. They are very friendly and always do a great job with my car. I find them very honest and reliable and won't do work unnecessarily or rip you off. They are great value for money too. I've sent a few of my friends here and think its important to support local family run businesses like this one. They are wonderful and if you ever need anything done to your car, this is the place to take it :)

I have used GL motors over the last 7 years they were recomded to me by a large main dealer .they have been fantastic looking after my 3 veheciles no problem to small and i have recomend them to friends who have used them. I wish other garages was as helpful.

Very nice family run garage, Dad & sons. Always friendly and happy to help. I've been coming to these guys for 5 years and it's like having a brother in the garage business because they never rip you off. They do the work and it stays done and they do it all at a fair price. To be commended in the car repair business.

I've used G&L for a few years now with a number of different cars. They actually know what they're doing, so if you want an expert and honest appraisal of a problem with a car then they will give it to you. And not charge the earth to fix it either. I had a temperature problem on one of the new style Beetles and the VW garage quoted me over £500 to put in a new radiator. I declined and took it to G&L instead. New thermostat and thermostat cover, £130 later, all fixed. Great service.

I went to G%L for my first cars MOT, and had alot of repairs that needed doing. I gave them a long list of what needed to be done, but when i got my car back, nothing had been done, my car passed its MOT, but one of the problems was the bumper was tied on, and they only bolted on the bottom bit, they didn't even bother to check the top, and they only replaced the back number plate, though the front one was taped togther? They also wasted 9ltrs of fuel somehow when test driving it looking for a problem me and my friends could hear but they couldn't? I've had to take my car back in today so they can finish off the job they didn't do in the first place.
