Never going there again. How a place can go downhill in less than a year! Last year we had a pre-Christmas group meal and it was excellent. I am a vegan, my wife is a vegetarian and there were lots of tasty veggie tapas. After Christmas two of the group organised a Burns Night supper there. They catered very well for us with a vegan haggis. It was therefore very disappointing to go back for the pre-Christmas group meal and to be treated so poorly. My wife went to the bar and bought a bottle of wine. She queried why she was being charged more than the price stated at the bar and was told that was because we were eating and therefore using tablecloths and serviettes! Our meal was a very bland and boring soup followed by an even more bland and boring vegetable risotto. The meat eaters had vegetables with their food. We were told that we could not have vegetables to liven up our dish because they were not included, notwithstanding that we had paid the same money for a half-hearted risotto as the meat dishes. The final course was a choice between a dessert or coffee; last year coffee had been included. All in all minimum effort for maximum charge. I wish we had not bothered.

Vegetarians in a Spanish restaurant - you couldn't make it up! Could I suggest that you try a national cuisine that is not based on meat? The staff probably failed to comprehend what vegetarianism comprises given the sort of food they are brought up with and excel in; suckling pig, cabrito (baby goat), rabbit, black pudding, manitas (piglet trotters), jamon de serrano - all fantastic tasty healthy meats that have been eaten for thousands of years. Maybe they were trying to deter you from returning given your rejection of such an important part of their culture?

Great place. Good atmosphere, lots of local Spanish. Warms up later in the evenings at weekends when Enzo treats you to some music that most people cannot resist dancing along to.
Food is great especially the pimiento de padron, fabada and lamb chops........
The bnext best thing to being on a Spanish Holiday!

The food was good but unfortunately let down by service and overcharging. I had a couple of mains with drinks, when we received the bill it had £2 pp for a table charge? and then additional service charge on top that made a £30 bill £40. When I questioned the table charge I was told by a young waiter with attitude that I must not eat out much because this is standard practice in London. I live locally and this is one place I will not go back to.
