One of the joys of London's dining scene is finding little gems lurking in the least likely places. On a frankly unlovely stretch of the A5, Persia charmingly serves top-notch Middle Eastern cuisine at incredibly modest prices.

This restaurant is a gem! It appears family run as whenever I go there I see the same people. The food there is cooked authentically and to perfection. It is also reasonably priced and I have been there often on a weekend night and seen Iranian music and dancing.

Cricklewood might not look like the sort of place you would want to stop in, however this eaterie is fantastic!

Food is really great here. Large portions and cooked to perfection I have to say.
Love the aubergine and lamb stew they do, as well as the juicy chicken and lamb kabbobs (not kebabs). Ive been there about 8 times and last time we had pickles as starter - they were delicious.

They do a huge flatbread for about £2 which is the nicest flat bread I have ever tasted, i kid you not!!

Only one superficial negative point to make about the restaurant. If we get a takeaway, the flatbread is sometimes cold by the time we get it back to the flat. When its cold it crisps up and is not as tasty as gettin it at your table in the restuarant.
So i spose im sayin if your gonna order the bread, then eat in!

Charming, authentic, unpretentious but intense experience especially on a music and belly dancing night. Food is lovely, expertly prepared, wonderful aromas. The rice is addictive. Well worth the effort to travel if you're not local. If you are local and have not tried it what are you waiting for?!!!
