I had been a loyal customer to 101 for a couple of years, but my visit on tuesday will be my last.service was terrible,to the point where the manager was very rude and food was extra salty and left me with an upset stomach.so disappointing

This is authentic Thai 'canteen food' it's not fancy but not expensive or pretentious either - open for lunch too. We went to Simply Thai in Teddington which was the Gordon Ramsay top Thai restaurant in london - but the food here at 101 is just as tasty - i particularly like the special fred rice with big juicy prawns - the Massaman curry was ok - hearty and basic - the crispy sea bass was a bit shrivelled up, but quite good and the corn cakes and dumplings were tasty too - the menu is extensive huge by the way.

Of all the asian cuisine for thai is one of the best. I have been to a number of thai restaurants in London and in Asia. One of my favourite is 101 Thai Kitchen in Hammersmith. The food is always fresh, the decor is not too bad, it is on the small side a little cramped but its still ok. The service is good but sometimes the food takes a little bit too long but its worth the wait. The portion is not mean like most thai restaurants. I sure recommend it to those who would like to experience good food. I'd like to spread the word and not keep it to myself because the restaurant deserves it. I hope it can keep the standard and perhaps a bit more.

I am loathe to write this review as I should be keeping this a secret. I have been to 100s of Thai restaurants in Thailand and in London. This is the absolute best. Each time we have been, it is crammed with Thai people and so you have to book if possible. Every meal looks like an exquisite banquet, beautifully and exotically presented. Try the screaming nun a tempura-ed aubergine in a fragrant chilli and coconut sauce (or the quiet nun if you want something a little calmer. They do all the usual Thai fare well but try the fried fish salad which I cant stop ordering. Pretty simple relaxed interior - pink walls! but effective. Staff are very sweet and helpful. It is licensed. I am glad they dont deliver or I would be having their food for breakfast! oh and it is marvellously cheap!
