The multi award-winning La Porte des Indes is to hold a wine tasting evening on Tuesday 24th July. This unmissable event will be hosted by the restaurant’s General Manager, Sherin Alexander.

This is a unique opportunity to sample a selection of prestigious and eclectic wines from the Indian Subcontinent. These will include Chenin Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc from Sula Vineyards, Nashik, India together with Viognier, Ritu; Syrah Blush Rosé, Ritu; Cabernet Sauvignon, Ritu Barrique Reserve and Shiraz, Ritu Barrique Reserve, all from Sahyadri Valley, Maharashtra, India.

These in turn will be paired with a selection of delicious Indian canapés especially prepared by La Porte’s executive chef Mehernosh Mody.

During the course of the evening La Porte des Indes’ wine ambassadors will also be offering expert advice about the best wines to pair with Indian cuisine.

La Porte des Indes’ wine tasting event will be held in the restaurant’s Jungle Bar, a stunning and atmospheric Raffles-inspired watering hole complete with hurricane lamps, rattan wall coverings, cane furniture, palm trees and tiger skin rugs.
