'He who looks outside, dreams. He who looks inside, awakens'- Carl Jung
Anima is an award-winning, genre-defying, performance by the Karavan Ensemble that took last year’s Brighton Fringe by storm.
Combining promenade and clown, beautiful dance and visual theatre, audience interaction, object animation and performance, the show is an unforgettable journey into light, darkness and human nature (the Anima of the title).
Household lights and personal stories, gathered through community work around the company’s local base in Brighton, illuminate this breath taking encounter with audiences in a magical feast of light and darkness.
In their first performance of Anima outside Brighton, the Ensemble will bring together performance styles and languages from more than five nationalities, offering a genuinely unique and original audience experience, pushing the boundaries of interactive dance theatre.
The production was awarded the Argus Angel Award for Outstanding Original Performance, 2011.
