Barrie Cook: Courting Colour

Sandra Higgins is delighted to present ‘Courting Colour’ an exhibition showcasing paintings by the celebrated abstract painter Barrie Cook.

For many years Cook’s work was perhaps overlooked in comparison with his Cornwall based contemporaries such as Patrick Heron and Terry Frost.

This July, visitors to the first show at the recently established Newman Street Gallery will be able to experience for themselves some of Cook's most monumental canvases. This is a special occasion to recognise his contribution to British abstract art.
