PLEASE NOTE THE MUSEUM IS CURRENTLY CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC (2022)
This is due to a new museum site and exhibitions being developed. LFB Museum is currently working as a virtual museum with history and stories shared on the museum's website.
This museum is housed in a former fire station, with some of the original 1870s fire engines on displayed. There is plenty to learn about here, from what the ‘beer-oh’ call means to the impact the Great Fire of London had on the history of British firefighters. There is also a reproduction of the gear room of a Victorian fire station for visitors to see what being a fireman entailed back in the 19th century.
