Forget your normal cholesterol-inducing full English this weekend. Possibly London’s poshest banger sandwich is on offer at British restaurant Roast’s new luxury sandwich stall, Roast to Go, in Borough Market. Former sausage maker to The Queen, Eric Reeve, has created a special rare breed Lincolnshire pork and sage sausage for the stall, with bread by market trader Flour Power.
Opened this week, Roast to go will serve other English favourites such as bacon and egg butties (£3.50), hot salt beef with English mustard and pickles (£4.50). The stall is situated outside the entrance to the restaurant and is open from Mon – Sat from 7am – 3pm. Expect queues!
