Seafood lovers are in for a treat at Mayfair’s fashionable Italian & seafood restaurant Pescatori with a Lobster and Champagne menu until the end of July.
Offering three courses of pure indulgence and a glass of Jacques Cartier Brut champagne at just £45 per person, it’s time to celebrate summer with a tantalising choice of lobster-based starters and main courses, plus delicious home-made desserts.
Black ink tortelloni filled with lobster is a delicious artisan pasta, whilst the Scotch lobster and scallops St Jacques combine lobster tail and king scallops in saffron vinegar for a tangy finish. Or try the Lobster cocktail, a not-so-classic dish with summer leaves and crisp apple.
Lobster aficionados will drool at the simple perfection of the Grilled Dorset Blue lobster platter, with lobster, prawns, clams and mussels in Tuscan olive oil and herbs. So called because its colour is electric blue before being cooked, this is a particularly succulent lobster variety. More unusual is Lobster & Mushrooms, lobster meat in a creamy cognac & porcini sauce, whilst the purists with relish the Thermidor a la Pescatori, the classic recipe served with tempura zucchini.
Cooked the Mediterranean way, food at Pescatori can seem deceptively simple but the taste is a perfect combination of flavours to enhance the quality of the fresh produce.
To imbibe in style, diners can choose champagne from £8.60 a glass, or a wine from a list where the vast majority is available by the glass, starting from £4.95 for the crisp and clean Umani Ronchi Trebbiano Chardonnay from Le Marche.
