The Table Welcomes Exciting New Chef And Wine List

London restaurant The Table is proud to announce the appointment of new head chef Cinzia Ghignoni and an exciting collaboration with wine writer Matt Walls to create a new style of wine list.

Cinzia Ghignoni's impressive pedigree includes working at Zucca, with Angela Hartnett and most recently, at Soho's Duck Soup. She brings a fresh take to The Table, creating a brand new and exciting menu, which continues the restaurant's commitment to modern Italian cuisine using quality British ingredients. The new menu, divided into small and large plates, features delicious offerings such as 'Grilled Octopus and caponata', 'Pappardelle, Tuscan sausage, chicken livers and ragu' and 'Salt Pollock brandade with grilled polenta'.

Quality and freshness is essential to The Table, impeccable sourcing and sustainability are at the heart of each dish. Everything is made from scratch in the restaurant's kitchen including an impressive array of breads and even some of the cheeses. Co-owner Shaun Alpine-Crabtree ensures close relationships with top quality and often local suppliers, including with St Mungo's allotment project for London's homeless.

Shaun has been working closely with wine writer Matt Walls to create a new and unique wine list. Featuring grape varieties that aren't available anywhere else in the UK, the wine list perfectly complements Cinzia's fantastic work in the kitchen while giving wine beginners and connoisseurs alike the chance to experience something new and exciting.
