Christmas at Dishoom

Spread a little Dishoom this Christmas

This festive season, Dishoom is brushing off the icicles and serving up Christmas Bombay style, with three dedicated set party menus that bring a little bit of Bombay’s sizzle to London.

Christmas at Dishoom is a fun affair, a chance to let down our hair and bring a little of the Dishoom magic to the festive season. With the cold biting at your heels, Dishoom offers a warm and buzzing respite from the icy London streets, and this year has three feasting menus to heat your insides too, and a range of wickedly delicious seasonal cocktails including Chai Egg Nog, Desi Mulled Wine, and the now legendary Bollybellini.

Dishoom Shoreditch’s signature dish of Lamb Raan (a whole leg of lamb marinated in a blend of spices and slow cooked overnight before being finished on the flame grill) is given a festive makeover, and Turkey Raan is the centerpiece of the Christmas menus. Turkey Raan is a glorious celebration dish - rich, warming, and delicately spiced – and offers the perfect alternative to the ubiquitous roast turkey.

Three Feasting Menus
This year Dishoom is offering not one but three special festive menus. Dishoom’s Head Chef, Naved Nasir, has put together the feasting menus (all of which are served as large ‘Thaals’, delivered to the table for guests to help themselves) which will be available in both restaurants from 15th to 23rd December.

The sumptuous Thaals start at just £30 per person and include Dishoom’s famous Turkey Raan with all the trimmings, Biryani with Chicken or Vegetables, and a range of delicious side dishes. Desserts include Mince Pies with Spiced Custard, and Dishoom favourites Kala Khatta Gola and Kulfi on a Stick.

The £40 and £55 menus also include an aperitif – warmly spiced Desi Mulled Wine, Bollybellini, or the Chocolate Cherry Champagne Cocktail for the latter menu – these of course can be substituted for one of Dishoom’s classic (non-alcoholic) Lassis.
