New Crustacean Bar at Le Pont de la Tour

Le Pont de la Tour restaurant adds 12 seat crustacean bar to its riverside terrace

For those wanting alfresco ‘food with a view’, riverside brasserie Le Pont De La Tour will unveil its open-air, 12 seat crustacean bar tomorrow, 9th May as part of the Butler’s Wharf Food Festival, giving guests the chance to enjoy fresh seafood against the beautiful back drop of London’s Tower Bridge. The new crustacean bar at Le Pont De La Tour will be manned by a specialist seafood chef who will be on hand daily to serve an extensive selection of seafood – from native and rock oysters to caviar and lobster. The menu also includes delicious pairings such as Seared king scallops with celeriac purée and Grilled Scottish langoustine with sauce Maltaise, and quirky dishes including Day boat fish soup comprising of three different fish, mussels, razor clams, rouille and croutons. For guests looking for a more classic offering, Le Pont De La Tour will be offering the Plateau de fruits de mer, which includes a mix of seafood served with traditional condiments – with or without lobster.

As one of Butler’s Wharf’s first ‘residents’, Le Pont de la Tour has long been an iconic London restaurant serving City folk and celebrities for nearly 22 years. With its enviable location on the Thames and Executive Head Chef Tom Cook’s impressive background, which includes time spent in the kitchen with Tom Aikens, Michel Roux Junior and Gary Rhodes, Le Pont de la Tour is the perfect summer spot to enjoy some of the UK’s best seafood.
