Ametsa with Arzak Instruction launches set lunch menu

£24.50 menu features selection of tapas and main dishes at London’s newest Spanish restaurant

Ametsa with Arzak Instruction, the ‘New Basque Cuisine’ restaurant at The Halkin by COMO hotel in London’s Belgravia, has launched a new set-price lunch menu.

The £24.50 menu offers diners a chance to sample a range of dishes from the Ametsa kitchen and features a selection of tapas to share, followed by a main course and coffee with petit-fours. Highlights from the menu–which has been devised by head chef Sergio Sanz Blanco–include Chipirones en su Tinta (squid cooked in its own ink) and Carrilleras a La Vainilla (ox cheek with vanilla), Sopa de Tomate y Fresas con Salpicón (tomato and strawberry soup with seafood salad), and Ensalada con Txangurro (spider crab salad).

Opened in March 2013, Ametsa brings together a unique collaboration between The Halkin Hotel and a team that includes Chef Elena Arzak – voted Veuve Clicquot World’s Best Female Chef 2012 – along with her father, Juan Mari Arzak, Mikel Sorazu, Igor Zalakain and Xabier Gutierrez. The original Arzak restaurant in Spain’s San Sebastian holds three Michelin stars.
