In celebration of Eid Adha (30th July - 3rd August), the most important festival in the Islamic calendar, speciality neighbourhood bakery and eatery The Lebanese Bakery will be offering maamoul hampers, available 4th July till 9th August.

The festival, also known as the “Feast of Sacrifice”, will see Muslim families exchanging gifts, dressing in their finest embroidered outfits and, of course, eating delicious, celebratory specialities. From chicken biryani with saffron and sultanas to apricot-spiked couscous, grain dishes are an essential part of an Eid al-Adha celebration and often served to accompany the stews, tagine and curries. Maamoul - buttery pastries filled with dates, pistachios and walnuts - are the perfect sweet ending to the feast, and are ideal for gifting.

The hampers are £20, with 20 maamoul in each, available for collection from our Covent Garden site, or for delivery.
