After two years of disruption, Mother’s Day this year, Sunday 27 March, will be all about spending time together with your Mum or special parental figure in person. And in Wembley Park, London’s most exciting new neighbourhood, the celebrations will be in full swing with delicious food, fun activities and experiences to create the ultimate day out.

Mums can pick up their free carnation, the official flower of Mother’s Day, at London Designer Outlet (LDO) before indulging in a champagne afternoon tea at Icons Bar and Grill at Hilton London Wembley.

They could also head to Pan-Indian restaurant Masalchi, from twice-Michelin starred celebrity chef Atul Kochhar, to sample the specially created Mother’s Day menu including its famous Amritsari Fried Fish, Dished Lamb Leg or Atul’s Paneer Tikka Pie, followed by a classic Rose Gulab Jamun with ice-cream.

Mums who prefer to skip straight to dessert, meanwhile, will be delighted by the incredible array of sweet treats available at Haute Dolci, with its Insta-friendly indoor cherry tree serving as the perfect backdrop for a snap to remember the day.

Or perhaps a stroll around BOXPARK Wembley might be best, where mum can choose from dozens of dishes from across the globe.

For mothers who like to bake, Wembley Park also has plenty to offer. Renowned bakery Bread Ahead is delivering an Introduction to Sourdough Baking Workshop on Mother’s Day morning whilst those who would rather spend the day relaxing can head over to Chop Chop hairdressers instead to enjoy a red carpet styling session for a fresh look.

Wembley Park is, of course, also known as one of London’s most exciting cultural destinations. A stroll along the brand new and free to attend Figures of Change Art Trail, comprising eight major public realm artworks by leading female artists from around the world, provides plenty to enjoy.

Or for a more immersive experience, Secret Cinema’s Bridgerton Ball is taking place at a top-secret location in Wembley Park until 27 March. Those looking for a different kind of fun on Mother’s Day have plenty of other options available from the eclectic Pop Golf with its pumping tunes to a spot of axe-throwing at Bad Axe.

There’s even the chance to save the world from zombies, thanks to meetspaceVR. Or how about a day of shopping, dinner and a show? London Designer Outlet has plenty on offer from the M&S Outlet, Phase Eight and Puma (which is offering 20% off womenswear over the Mother’s Day weekend), to The Fragrance Shop and Yankee Candle – with a quick stop at the Lindt shop as well, to indulge in specially gift-wrapped sets and gold tins. In celebration of Mother’s Day, anyone spending over £30 will receive a free tote bag.

Las Iguanas is offering two for one cocktails – perfect for those taking their Mum to lunch.
