The Long Lane is set in a 1950’s art deco-style building in the City of London market with food made from all British produce, provided by Babel.
“A zestful experience accompanied by a menu of avant-garde cocktails, this chic spot is the latest opening in Smithfield,” said founders Foxcroft, Vigrass, and Torre about the new opening.
“The Long Lane brings a new sense of intimacy to the London food and nightlife scene, particularly post-pandemic. We were seeking to build a bar and eatery around classic cocktails with an unconventional twist, a stylish soundtrack and a zeal for conversation.
“We’re excited to bring our latest offering to the capital, as travel returns and locals are out again in the city.” Foxcroft, Vigrass, Torre share between them over 60 years of hospitality experience.
Foxcroft and Vigrass met while working at live music venue Village Underground, where the former was general manager and Vigrass held the position of operations director and designated premises supervisor having worked at some of London’s most iconic clubs during the 90’s and 00’s. At these venues, Vigrass first met Torre, who later became bar manager at Hawksmoor in Guildhall and Commercial Street and The Palomar.
The trio would open their first venue together, The Racketeer in London’s King Cross, in 2017. The Long Lane is open from Wednesday to Friday, from 12pm to 12am, and Saturday from 4pm to 12am.
