Her long and varied career has seen her nominated twice as Best British Female at the Brit Awards, and twice again for US Grammies. She received an Ivor Novello Award for Outstanding Contemporary Song Collection in 1996, and was voted one of the most influential woman in rock in a VH1 poll.
