Its matchless culinary experience and breathtaking décor has already won La Porte des Indes a host of accolades. Now this iconic venue is delighted to announce that its acclaimed executive chef Mehernosh Mody has been honoured with one of the hospitality industry’s most prestigious awards.

This week saw the culinary maestro crowned Ethnic Chef of the Year at the Craft Guild of Chefs Awards 2012 held at Wembley Stadium.

Commented Mehernosh Mody: ”The Craft Guild of Chefs is regarded as the leading body of its kind in the UK, and recognition from such a prestigious association inspires not only me, but the whole team at La Porte to continue to achieve high standards of excellence.”

For over 16 years Chef Mody has been delighting the capital with his inventive and dynamic dishes, many of them based on traditional Gallic influenced recipes that originate from Pondicherry, a former French colony dating back to the nineteenth century.
