A journey across the world: Le Marché des Continents

New tasting menu

Club Gascon is launching a new tasting menu paying tribute to the flavours of the five continents. Available from 27th July until 9th September 2012, the five course menu has been created as a journey around the globe from a Gascon’s perspective.

Pascal Aussignac and Darren Beevers, respectively Michelin-starred Executive Chef and Head Chef, have developed a menu introducing unexpected ingredients from the 5 continents: miso, eucalyptus, or chermoula that will be married with traditional Gascon products such as piperade, duck, or espelette pepper. Using Club Gascon’s cooking techniques and flair, this menu has been inspired by the summer to create five memorable courses that excite the palate such as Duck Miso, Nashi Pearls and Crispy Lotus or Dorset Crab Custard, Piperade and Aromatic Avocado.

Exceptionally Club Gascon will also open its cellar to wines from outside south of France as each dish will be paired with one drink native from the specific region it is representing: Tatsuuma, Shiboritate Sake NV from Japan; Stellenbosch Chardonnay Hartenberg 2008 from South Africa; or Pyramid Valley Vineyards, Late Harvest Riesling 2008 from New Zealand...

The restaurant changes its tasting menu regularly during the year to truly capture the taste of the season. The new menu composed of 5 dishes is available every day from 27th July until 9th September 2012 at £60 or £90 with wine pairing.
