Super Tuscan Wine Challenge

Spot the Tuscan wine and win a free flight of wine

Super Tuscan, Spitalfields’ Italian wine bar, will launch a weekly Wine Challenge from the 13th February. Wine enthusiasts will have the opportunity to try a flight of 4 of the finest wines on the Super Tuscan list, not usually available by the glass, and see if they can spot the "Super Tuscan" among them. Get it right, and you get a second flight of wine on the house.

During the tasting you’ll be given the chance to learn about the Super Tuscan wine movement and how to recognise the major grape varieties, as well as gain inside knowledge on matching bold Tuscan reds with hearty Tuscan food. The Challenge will be priced at £15 per person, including a flight of 4 wines, or £20 per person with the inclusion of an assortment of Super Tuscan bruschetta and salumi. Bookings will be available for groups of between 2 and 10 people from 6pm-7.45pm every Wednesday, as of 13th February.

Opened by Nick Grossi in February 2012, Super Tuscan takes its name from the Italian winemaking movement that revolutionised the country’s vineyards in the 1970s. From subversive beginnings, when ‘Super Tuscan’ producers broke with the traditional classification regulations imposed on them, Super Tuscans have become among the most acclaimed and highly-valued of Italy’s wines.
