Exotic condiments
Bim’s Kitchen make African-inspired condiments. Anyone who’s read The Little Prince will be intrigued by items like the Baobab Pepper Jam, sweet yet fiery and perfect for meat and fish. Their best-selling Chilli Coconut Relish is uber spicy, with delicious pieces of desiccated coconut and heaps of spices like alligator peppers. All products are suitable for vegetarians. Sold in selected delis and butchers like Natural Kitchen, the Deli Downstairs, Earth Natural Foods and more, regular retail price is £4.79 a jar.

Chic teas
The London Tea Company package their teas in sleek colourful tins. Flavours include vanilla chai, blackcurrant, raspberry & cinnamon and peppermint, spearmint and strawberry as well as good old Earl Grey and detoxing green tea. What sets them apart from other teas? They’ll look very good on your kitchen counter for starters. Sold at Selfridges and Sainsbury’s. £4.15 for 15 teabags.

Beer jellies
Jelly made from beer or cider? Yep, and they’re a perfect accompaniment to cheese. It’s not a new invention however, as beer preserves were first concocted in Italy, however Hawkshead, known for their gourmet chutneys and jams, are set to introduce three jellies: Windermere Pale Ale, Loweswater Gold and Cowmire Hall Cider. Coming soon to a stockist near you, in the meantime get them online priced at £2.95 each.
