My favourite record shop is…
Well I don’t buy vinyl anymore, but my favourite record store to visit is Love Vinyl in Hoxton. It’s owned and run by a few close friends - Stuart Patterson, Zaf, Dave Jarvis and Jake Holloway. I actually sold my record collection to them at the beginning of the year so if you pop down there you might pick up one of my old MAW 12”s - lol :-)

My favourite clothes shop is…
I hate clothes shopping on the high street so I tend to buy all mine online and it’s either from SIZE? or the Carharrt store.

My favourite club is…
My favourite club to DJ in has to be Ministry Of Sound. I’ve been going there to party for over 20 years and the first time I played there was back in 2004 and the system is incredible. I just wish it was in North London ;-)

My favourite club night is…
It has to be Deep Into Soul, run by two close friends, Neil Pierce and Scott Searle. I’ve played for them several times and the night never disappoints with the guests they get to DJ and most importantly the crowd.

If I could DJ with any celebrity (musical or non musical) it would be…
That’s a tough one but let’s go with Jill Scott as I love everything about her and I reckon she’ll have a few good exclusives to play as well.

The song that reminds me most of London is…
Ok this may be a strange answer but it’s a track that takes me back to the mid 80’s when I used to go over to Wormwood Scrubs playing field every Sunday to a Hip Hop jam hosted by Tim Westwood and he always used to play The Blackbirds cult classic, ‘Rock Creek Park’ - ‘doing it in the park after dark, oh yeah”

When I’m in a bar I drink…
Either IPA lager or vodka, soda and fresh lime.

My favourite pub/bar is…
There’s a little pub in North London called The Bird In Hand and they have the best seafood stall outside….I love my seafood :-)

My favourite food pop up is…
I really like going to the street food markets in Brick Lane and Shoreditch. I don’t have a favourite one as I try and eat something different every time, but it will definitely involve meat of some description.

My favourite restaurant is…
I do like my food so this a tough one! There’s plenty of great Turkish restaurants where I live and they serve such great food but I’m going for a blast from the past, somewhere I’ve been going since I was very young, I probably went there in pram to be honest! It’s Manze’s pie and mash shop on Walthamstow High St.

If I want a little peace and quiet when I’m in London I…
Go to the top of the hill at Alexandra Palace and have a pint in the pub up there and look over London

The best area of London is…
North London

If I could change one thing about London…
I love London just as it is

One thing everyone should do in London in summer is…
Have a picnic in one our many great parks, or refering back to one of the previous questions, a nice cold drink on top of the hill at Alexandra Palace.

One thing everyone should do in London in general is…
Eat, drink and be merry…..oh and go to a Deep Into Soul party :-)

Martin Lodge spins at the Deep Into Soul Suncebeat Reunion Party alongside CJ Mackintosh, Rhemi Music’s Neil Pierce and Ziggy Funk, Davide Fioresi and David Bailey on Sunday August 14th at the Prince Of Wales Brixton from 4pm onwards. For all info go to facebook.com/DeepIntoSoul or @deepintosoul
