This north London suburb is situated between Wood Green, Bounds Green and Palmers Green. It encompasses a small, mostly residential area surrounding Myddleton Road, which has a few grocery stores, a dry cleaners and car accessories shop; needless to say, most people head to neighbouring Wood Green for their shopping needs. Despite its lack of activity Bowes Park benefits from being within close proximity of Alexandra Palace and Green Lanes, a main thoroughfare with numerous Turkish-Cypriot bakeries and supermarkets. The man-made New River crosses the area and provides riverside green space in the form of the recently restored Finsbury Gardens.
