Brent Park is roughly situated between Neasden and Stonebridge Park, and is somewhat incongruously home to both the spectacular BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir aka Neasden Temple, and an IKEA store, the two main destinations for visitors to the area. The temple was the first traditional Hindu place of worship of its kind in Europe, and its domes and marble pillars stand out amidst an otherwise non-descript area filled with rows of semi-detached houses and traffic congestion; the North Circular road runs through the middle of Brent Park. A regeneration project is currently underway to bring some much needed greenery and recreational spaces to the area, something the council are hoping will improve the landscape and help to bring down crime rates.
