Chigwell

Sleepy Chigwell is surrounded by countryside whilst remaining within easy reach of London thanks to the Central Line. Large detached properties with gardens abound; there is little in the way of shops but there are amenities in nearby Woodford. More recently the area has become known for being part of the “Golden Triangle” of Essex due to its popularity amongst premier league footballers, including Ashley Cole, who moved in with his mum after splitting from pop singer Cheryl Cole. Chigwell is home to a nature reserve, training grounds for Tottenham Hotspurs, a cricket club and golf centre, as well as the upmarket Holmes Place and David Lloyd leisure centres.
