Millwall

Millwall is probably most famous for its football team, even though they’ve in fact been playing at Bermondsey for the last century. Millwall the area is in the Docklands, just south of Canary Wharf, therefore it is undergoing much redevelopment to cater to the local employees, most of whom are employed in the banking industry, in stark contrast to the humble housing that used to accommodate the dock’s workers once upon a time. As such there is a curious mix of old fashioned buildings and modern glass constructions, while new gastropubs and upmarket wine bars are popping up all the time.
