Ruislip feels much further from London than it actually is, as its leafy streets and quaint buildings give it a sleepy, semi-rural feel. It’s hard to believe the Piccadilly Line gets you to Zone 1 in less than an hour, particularly if you’ve just spent the day wandering around the village square or the historic Manor Farm, with a barn that dates back to the 13th century. You’ll find very few shops here and house prices are on the rise, however the allure of the nearby countryside combined with the possibility of commuting to the city are making Ruislip a very desirable area to live.
