Wealdstone is the dingy relation of the affluent suburbs of Pinner and Harrow, there is little in the way of shops and the area looks generally run down. On the plus side, Harrow-on-the-Hill’s large St. Ann’s shopping centre is just a 20 minute walk from Harrow & Wealdstone station, and there is a more than decent leisure centre complete with adjacent skate park, which happens to be one of the oldest in the country. Cheap house prices mean those wanting to get on the property ladder are attracted to Wealdstone, however the area is far from up and coming.
