Sonargaon Restaurant

We made an advance booking for our wedding anniversary party and left a deposit 1 week before and on the day when we turned up there was no table for us! the management were not co-operating whatsoever and had the attitude that "other people have also booked" which obviously is not our problem! After standing around for ages they decided to take other customers off their table so that they could put two tables together for us. Two round tables in a corner where there was no room to move. we asked for another table because we had a baby with us and there was no room for a high chair. they then said to us that we could sit downstairs in the area designated for parties etc... again we said no because we would have to come up and down the stairs to get to the buffet and we had two elderly people with us.

in the end the management got a fold out rectangular table and set it up for us. all this took over half an hour and no apology was made in fact we were made to feel as though the entire thing was our fault EVEN THO WE HAD BOOKED WELL IN ADVANCE!

After all that, when we finally got to eat I was horrified by the standard of their buffet. the poster outside boasts a whopping 50 items (there wasnt!) none of the dishes are labelled so you have no idea what you are getting! the waitresses hang around watching you whilst you get your food, the spoons are filthy. i didnt try half the things because the handles were too dirty to hold.

this is the very first time that I have been to a buffet and hated every single thing I tried except the boiled rice. not one single thing came close to being nice. even the onion rings were stale, as were the poppadoms. and there was sugar in the mint sauce!!

Every single member of staff we came across were rude and our entire evening was spoilt. I will never ever be going back to this restaurant - if can even be called that.

Went to restaurant with family. Staff were very rude, need training on customer service. Kept giving dirty looks to children. Would not recommend to others and will definetly not be going back and would recommend others choose another place to eat. Will be making a formal complaint to the management about staff. I wouldnt even give a 1 for the service -5 is a more realistic score.
