The Berkeley hotel has two noteworthy restaurants: Marcus Wareing at The Berkeley and Koffmann’s, Pierre Koffmann’s restaurant serving French brasserie classics. He favours food from the south west of France; on the menu are comforting dishes like duck breast with orange sauce, pig’s trotter stuffed with sweetbreads and home-style braised beef cheeks in red wine.
Koffmann’s is labelled as informal, however the smartly dressed waiters, starched tablecloths and high prices are all present (although three course set menus start from £25). The wine list is exclusively French, with many bottles from the south western and Pyrenees regions.
