Amazing. A truly great, and unpretentious restaurant.
The menu was packed with fantastic looking food. Standout dishes were ras-el-hanout quail; grilled mackerel with mild dahl and apple raita, and a rosewater & dark chocolate tart with turkish delight icecream.
Super friendly waiters happy to explain the more esoteric ingredients. 3 courses for 2 people, plus non-alcoholic drinks was £55. A total bargain for cooking of that quality. Beats Conran's Plateau hands down. I thought it beat Oxo Tower, my boyfriend disagreed.
Superb. Go there as soon as you can. (but make sure it's a weekday lunchtime or Friday evening, as it's shut in the evenings!).
Delfina is a unique establishment situated on Bermondsey Street. It is open for breakfast and lunch Monday thru Friday, and Friday nights for dinner. Serving a stylish, eclectic menu that changes fortnightly, using seasonal and locally sourced ingredients. The trendy former chocolate factory boasts large white walls to feature art from a nearby gallery. The lively lunch crowd is as diverse as the food, from City suits to yummy mummys to fashionistas!
