Housed within the spectacular St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel, this Marcus Wareing restaurant takes its name from the British architect responsible for its breath taking gothic design. The menu fittingly pays homage to Victorian-era cookery, with dishes like mulligatawny and rabbit pie.

The swanky St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel (called the world's most romantic place to stay) is home to The Gilbert Scott, one of Michelin-starred Marcus Wareing's restaurants. It's named after the architect who designed the gothic building, and the menu fits its theme with classic British dishes like rabbit pie and pork neck with mustard sauce.

Wow, a great, great place. A beautiful dining room (and very cool bar too) with a really interesting and quirky menu. Food is fantastic - great flavours and really good value for money. I have been twice - once for the lunch menu (£27 for 3 courses) and also for dinner. Both times I have been very impressed, as were my companions. They have an amazing choc ice for dessert! Wines are great - start at £4.50 a glass so good value. Staff are really friendly and also knowledgeable about the product (and the building!). Am going to go back and try the kitchen table (like a chef's table) as looks amazing - very reasonably priced for one of these tables compared to others also. Would wholeheartedly recommend to all.
