Inspired by the great French pavement cafés, Colbert is an informal, neighbourhood rendez-vous at the heart of Sloane Square; it will open early for breakfast and continue to serve food and drinks throughout the day until post-theatre.
The menu includes a large selection of Eggs (sur plat, brouillés, omelettes, Eggs Royale/Benedict and Florentine); Croques (including Monsieur, Madame, and also Grand Monsieur, Croque New York, Croque Raclette and Croque Provençale); as well as Parisian café stalwarts, such as Salade de Magret Fumé, Bayonne Ham with Celeriac Rémoulade, Steak Diane, Moules Marinière, Cassoulet de Canard.
On the sweet side, Colbert serves Breakfast Patisseries (Pain au Chocolat, Cannelé Bordelais, Caramel & Hazelnut Twist), Tartes (aux Pruneaux, Pommes, Fruit de Passion, Cerise aux Amandine), Biscuits/Friandises (Financiers, Sable aux Noix, Arlette) and Ice-cream Coupes.

We celebrate London's outstanding service
It’s not surprising that Colbert’s service is impeccable given that it comes from the same stable as The Wolseley and The Delaunay. Here the refrain “the customer is always right”rings especially true as staff will do their utmost to accommodate diners, including preparing ad hoc dishes if they desire.

The food is delicious and they take great care with presentation, plus the staff are very accommodating without ever being intrusive. It's also a beautiful venue, with art deco design. The toilets are particularly impressive, with quaint taps and soap dishes that look extremely elegant, just like the rest of the place.
