Can't understand the last review. The lower deck is far superior to the less interesting upper deck. The service was absolutely fine. The food was excellent. But the atmosphere is by far the best the best thing. It's refined, quirky (surrounded by wooden ship beams and slightly below water level!) mellow and (depending on your date) very romantic. They had a guitarist and a blues singer that night (mid week). I've been to all the top restaurants in London, believe me, if you want a nice cosy relaxing evening at good value (£91 for two included tip) I'd say it's one of the best in London. In warmer weather try oyster al fresco whilst watching the yachts in St Kathernes Dock.

I had booked dinner for 2 at Lightship's Main Deck. As I arrived the staff wanted to shove us downstairs saying there was no room for us upstairs when there was. I showed my booking confirmation was for the Main Deck and not a smelly basement. But not only was the staff outrageously rude and unprofessional they didnt care to have a look at the confirmation. They did NOTHING to accomodate us and didnt want to serve us at all. Worst service ever!
