One of the best restaurants in brick lane. They don't push you out like others. Was sat for two hours without any complaints. Food was great. Chef of the year award dragged us in. x

Came to this restaurant after a recommendation from a close friend. I was not disappointed at all. The food was amazing as well as the excellent service we received. Value was normal we also got a free shot at the end. Amazing welcoming place

Great curry house, managed to get a free drink and 20% off. Good value for money paid £60 between four. Delicious food with kind service.

Another suberb meal in The Famous Curry Bazaar. Warm, friendly atmosphere and helpful staff, excellent food. Consistently good and I would certainly recommend to anyone looking for a good Indian meal in the area.

As three people who love their Indian food we were totally disappointed with the whole experience at The Famous Curry Bazaar. We ordered 2 poppadums but given 6, we ate 3 but were charged for all 6. As they were only 60p we didnt argue but the waiter should listen to what is ordered. We also had to ask the waiter to take our order as we were waiting quite some time, it was not busy and Im sure they were just delaying so we spent more on drinks. Another highlight of poor service was they made us keep our cutlery after the starter instead of providing a clean set.
My starter of vegetable pakora was like no other tasted before, it was like the croquet potatos served in school canteens (only with beans & carrots thrown in). No spice, not texture, just plain & bland.
We all opted for medium-hot dishes with the anticipation of something wonderful. My vegetable Bhuna was not a bhuna but more like a vegetable stew (the sauce reminded me of bisto which should never be in a curry). The jalfrezi was by no means a hot dish, possibly verging on medium for a toddler hence us naming it the 'fisher price jalfrezi'. By the end we all agreed we could have had better from a ready meal and I do not enjoy spending £20 on a meal out when I could have had better for £3 from the supermarket. A huge shame as our friend does not come to London often.

Food is ok but the service is terrible. Never seen a waiter refuse to change cutlery after a usadge. All in all an ok place to go if you dont mind eating with dirty knives and forks.

What can I say. The food was amazing! I know it's frowned upon but I sorely tempted to lick my plate clean. Rich food, cheap prices. Four words to describe it. I will be visiting again. Only issue I really had was the waiters. They could have been a bit engaging at times, even with a couple of tables they did seem a bit bored. But I recommend curry lovers not to be discouraged by that, the food is absolutely...well what do you know, I'm lost for words.

This place is amazing. Walking down Brick Lane can be daunting being approached by somebody from every restaurant, the first time I went here I chose this restaurant because it was packed out while it's neighbours were empty, that can only be a good sign. The food is fantastic and the service extremely friendly. The restaurant also sells alcohol. It does get busy after work so if you are planning to go there on a Thursday or Friday evening it is best to book.

The best curry I've ever had! The service is very friendly and quick and the food is amazing. I've been to the restaurant quite a few times and it's always fantastic. I suggested eating there for a work social night and all of the food was ready at the same time, nobody had to wait and everybody enjoyed their dish.

The menu offers an excellent choice for vegetarians and meat eaters alike. The service a little slow but is well worth the wait once the food arrives. Best of all prices are low and negotiable. Well worth a visit.
