Great India Tandoori is a little known curry house at the south end of Lower Sloane Street. Tinted glass belies the bright and clean air-conditioned interior, refurbished after a fire a few years ago. The menu is traditional, and service polite and timely. Prices are a little bit more expensive as a result of location, but the quality of food is good. They also have a bar area and a takeaway service is provided.

We come to London at least twice a year and stay only minutes away from the restaurant. We've dined in and ordered take away, and have never had a bad meal. Any of the dishes with duck (something difficult for us to often find in an Indian restaurant)are great --- but so are the vegetarin dishes/sides such as cauliflower, mushroom, etc.) The service has always been attentive, and the staff is patient in making recommendations that fit one's taste. To each their own in terms of taste, but for us this is one spot we look forward to visiting each time in London.

I had a feeling that I shouldn't have come here and I was right. The outside glass looked dirty, they didn't even have an up to date phone number on the sign.
The food was average, the restaurant looks smaller than an average newsagents. Very pricey, won't be going back.

This restaurant is terrible, I ordered a takeaway and after giving them my number 3 times and my address twice, they still managed to take the wrong number and get lost. After calling them they still expected me to pay full price on a curry i needed to reheat. I offered to pay less but they refused.

A very clever retro pastiche but with a menu that knows that it's 2010. I cannot praise the service too highly. Reccomend an apperitif at the Rose and Crown opposite. Try it!
