We visit the Belash every week - sometimes twice a week and have always had fantastic food. Spices are fresh and freshly ground and all ingredients are good. Our favourites are the vegetable Pathia - hot and sour, onion bhajis which are always crisp and amazing, dhal and all the vegetable side dishes including a melt-in-the mouth brinjal bhaji. Staff are friendly and the service is always good, even if they are sending our lots of take-aways. Highly recommended and we see lots of other regulars there each week, so it's not just us who think it's wonderful!

Honestly the worst Indian take away I have ever had, bar none! The onion bhajis weren't cooked through, rendering them a potato doughy paste & the mains were a disgrace: no fresh spices or herbs were evident, just your run of the mill, straight from the bottle Shwartz powder & dry chicken pieces saturated in oil.
I'm generally a very benevolent diner; happy to receive good grub when a chef takes the time to impart some thought or care into the dish I have ordered. On this occasion I felt totally conned, like the food was sent out with a shrug of "this will do." Gives the cuisine a bad na

Used to frequent this restaurant years ago, so a group of us decided to return and see if it was still as good as we remembered. It wasn't. We waited over an hour for our food. When it arrived it consisted of loads of very bland sauces - that certainly weren't freshly cooked, with a few lumps of fatty tasteless lamb or chicken floating in them. I thought I couldn't go wrong with tandoori king prawn - but it was cut into small pieces, so overcooked/burnt and tasteless that no one was able to say categorically that it was prawn. I sent it back. Very disappointing.

Great food! Absolutely delicious! Restaurant is a bit small but has a nice atmosphere. My favourite Indian restaurant in North London.
