I have ate at Bocca a lot of times and I return because Bocca's food is excellent for the price; it is good authentic Italian cooking. Wines are reasonably priced and staff are attentive and nice, overall I always have a good dining experience at this restaurant

Absolutely great. Try the homemade pasta when they have it on the specials board. The poppy seed one is particularly delicious,

Friendly, honest italian cooking.

UGH! I can't believe how disgusting it was in Bocca when we went there on Sunday. The owner / manager guy absolutely stank of cigarette smoke and insisted on standing too close to me and my sister. I actually had to take a step back because he stank of smoke. When he brought me my ice cream it actually smelled like fags.

WRONG.

The problem we had with Bocca is not the food, which was actually quite nice, but the fact that our bread smelt like cigarette smoke. At first we couldn't work out where the smell was coming from but then we realised it was the bread. Sounds bizarre but we honestly couldn't eat it.

We reasoned that the chef must have just been smoking before cutting the bread, but then we saw the manager (who had brought us the bread) was standing outside his restaurant door smoking. We noticed him go out there at least twice more in the hour and ten minutes that we were there. When he brought us the bill he absolutely stank of smoke, as did the bill.

The manager's hygiene is just far below par. Smoking outside your establishment is really distasteful. To smoke so much that the food smells of smoke is just unpardonable. I would never go back.

value for money and great service. I have been there 5 times last year, every time it has been great. Veal Milanese is as good as one can get for just over £10. Any my twins who are just 2, they always are well looked after. just picked u pizza for home.....better than any other big pizza delivery companies.

highly reccomended

I went out with two of my girlfriends to bocca, we where met by the manager who took us to our seats we was bought the drinks and food menu, we placed our orders and waited no time for our food to arrive which was cooked perfect and taste wanderful when it arrived. The bill arrived we where all pleasantly surprise at what value we got for our money. Leaving the resturant we where all kissed on the cheeks by the manager we had a pleasent night and yes we will be going back soon. We need more of these resturants with personal services from the owners who look after there guests.

I have visited Bocca lately and after having read very positive reviews felt abit let down. It started from the entrance, the place felt abandoned (no music, no one to welcome us). After we had a sit we've been given menues... 4 times! We got wrong menus 3 times (lunch menus). One more thing I must say must be changed is the behaviour of kitchen staf (walking aroud the restaurant eating something, and talking to customers with full mouth). Although our visit wasn't perfect we did enjoy the food. The portions are generous and food is inexpensive. Probably we'll go there again to check if anything has changed. Maybe just our first visit was unfortunate.

I have visited Bocca several times and am always impressed with the restaurant.
The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. The service is very attentive, yet discreet.
The menue is very extensive, maybe too many choices for Pizza.
The portions are very generous, the food is freshly cooked and very well presented.
The wine list is extensive and affordable with a good choice of wines, not the run of the mill wines.
Bocca has also a large party room, also ideal for large family gatherings or office parties.
I am already looking forward to having my next meal at Bocca.
Bocca is just what Streatham needs, excellent food and good value for money.
Have your say
